Your doula will be available 24/7 to answer questions and provide information as
you need throughout your pregnancy. During labor, she is there as a comfort, witness, and guide for you and your partner. Postpartum support in the form of holding space and offering breastfeeding assistance, as well as processing your experience.
A postpartum doula can be a huge support during the first few weeks after birth to “mother the mother.” Breastfeeding support, house management techniques and support and infant care are a few of the many things a postpartum doula can provide.
Katy offers both private and group Childbirth Education. The six-week series covers Birth and the First Three Months, through Pregnancy Arts takes place at The Gladwin Center. Private classes can be held in your home, within a 30 mile radius of Ypsilanti or Ann Arbor, or in a private location that fits everyone’s needs – usually in Ann Arbor.
Sometimes you need someone to walk you through this new thing called pregnancy, but you don’t necessarily desire an additional labor support person. We offer many options for supporting and empowering you through your pregnancy and early parenting adventure. Offered in weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly phone or in-person consults.
